    Exercise Name: Calf Raises: Seated, Bench, Heels Straight (Step), Barbell

    CALVES
    LEGS (ACCESSORY, ALL)

    Technical Difficulty:
    1 ALARM FIRE: BASIC INTENSITY

    Equipment:
    BARBELL
    STEP

    Training Benefit:
    STRENGTH


    Starting Position: Sit upright with proper posture on a Bench with the feet shoulder width apart. Place the mid foot on the edge of the step. Point the toes forward. Contract/brace the abdominals as if receiving a punch to the midsection and hold. Place a Barbell on top of the lower thighs. Lower the heels to the lowest position.

    Progress
    : Raise upward to the balls of the feet. Return to the starting position and repeat.

    Tips
    : Upon movement, keep the ankle joint moving straight up and down.
